Etsy? You betsy!

We're all just monkeys clinging to a rock hurtling through space. Why not buy a mug?

Oh, so much good stuff

I am taking a short pause between obituaries (yes, another Bystander died, you’ll just have to guess who until I post later this week) to shamelessly tout our new Etsy store.

This isn’t just brute commerce shading your summer Sunday—though here in America, any group larger than two must be monetized—I genuinely love this stuff. Laura Fox and I are having a ball designing it all, and we’ll be adding gobs more.

I feel confident that you will find something to make you giggle, smirk, or at the very least ponder aloud, “Have ‘fair-use’ statutes gone too far?”

To purchase these and hundreds of other items, go to Bystander's outpost on Etsy!

Guess who designed the Microbiome shirt? And that HOPE graphic is four hours of my life I will never get back, so please go buy it.

We wish to leave no stone unturned in our hunt for a publishing model that works. Plus, we drink coffee just like everybody else. (Actually, I don’t—the slightest bit of caffeine makes me see the Face of God—but Laura does.)

Yes, we still have a store at www.theamericanbystanderstore.com, and eventually the same merch will be on both sites. But Etsy is where the internet goes for weird shit, and we’re most definitely weird shit, so we are spreading our wares.

Enjoy—we’ll be posting more products in the coming weeks. Now, back to work on this obit…and a huge new secret project we will be Kickstarterering this fall. ◊

Fledgling Etsy tycoon MICHAEL GERBER is also Editor & Publisher of The American Bystander.
